Artistic Twirlers formed in September 2015. Our club is based in Sittingbourne, Kent and we belong to Region 1 within the British Baton Twirling Sports Association (BBTSA).
Baton twirling is a creative and disciplined sport which consists of twirling one or more batons and can incorporate an element of ballet, dance and gymnastics. There are no ends to what you can achieve.
All students at Artistic Twirlers will have the opportunity to achieve their BBTSA grading, participate in BBTSA seminars, participate in competitions and attend local displays and carnivals. In the month of December we put on a show to family and friends, giving our students an opportunity to perform what they have achieved in their twirling.
In our classes we will teach baton twirling with correct body technique and our aim is for students to be taught something new each week.
Students can have extended sessions to compete individually and these sessions are tailored to challenge our students' ability and improve their confidence and performance.
Since forming in 2015, our students have all passed their grading exams. We have achieved many awards whilst competing as a team and individually in domestic competitions and the National Championships.
We have formed a great team to coach our students which consists of three professional BBTSA baton twirling coaches and an assistant baton twirling coach.
In our training sessions your child will -
Develop artistic flair
Learn discipline and self-control
Learn to work within a team
Socialise within a group
Gain confidence and most of all............
Have lots of fun.
